Amazing hotel with free wi-fi, a bar/lounge area, and helpful staff. They really cared for my elderly parents during our first stay, and I remember how cute they were. I can't wait to return for Christmas!

missingWrote a review on Sept 30excellent foodfriendly atmospheregreat locationpoor waterbed discomfort
I enjoyed a delightful stay at The Devonshire Arms. The staff greeted me warmly upon arrival right away. My room was cozy and well-furnished with tea and coffee facilities. An electric kettle, which I appreciated. The food was outstanding, particularly the breakfast, which had a good variety. The bar area offered a lovely ambiance to unwind. On the downside, the shower in my room had very poor water pressure, basically a trickle, which was quite frustrating. the bed was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. I could hear noise from other rooms, especially when the water was running. the service was excellent and the location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Chatsworth House.

We had a lovely time enjoying the spacious room and the delicious food at dinner and breakfast. Relaxing on the sun terrace with a nice drink while soaking up the atmosphere was a real highlight. Just a heads up, the shower could use some better maintenance – not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning! 😊

Great for a relaxing getaway
Had a lovely evening stroll right outside, the staff were friendly and efficient and even helped me with my electric bike charging. I was impressed by the food quality, especially the cooked breakfast, it was hot and delicious!
Not the cheapest option around, but still worth it.

The room offered a cozy atmosphere with a nice private terrace by the river, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. The breakfast featured a great selection, showcasing both vegetarian choices and traditional options. While the bar had an inviting feel, the selection of beverages was impressive and well-curated. the size of the room felt a bit cramped for two, and while dinner was delightful, the service speed at breakfast could use some improvement.

Our one-night getaway was delightful. The comfortable king room provided a cozy escape, while the friendly staff shared excellent local tips. The breakfast menu catered to every appetite, though a continental option would be welcome. Enjoy a stroll around the picturesque grounds!

The initial room was admirably spacious and well-appointed, featuring quality toiletries and a solid coffee-making setup. the second room lacked the same comfort and had visible wear, including damaged wall spots and a malfunctioning towel rail. Dining experiences varied. while breakfast offered a broad range of options, dinner did highlight the chefs’ talent with exceptional dishes that pleasantly surprised us.
